Raspberry Pi (ARM Linux, Pi-class)
The Raspberry Pi (2012) is the credit-card-sized single-board ARM computer that put a Linux desktop within reach for a few pounds. This exhibit boots a real upstream Linux 3.10.29 kernel to an interactive BusyBox shell over a serial console, entirely in the browser, on an emulated ARMv7-A (Cortex-A class) core — the same ARM application-processor lineage as a Pi's system-on-chip.
Honest scope. This is not a true Broadcom BCM2835 with a VideoCore GPU. The emulated board is an ARM Versatile Express core tile (via the vendored pure-JavaScript arm-js emulator), the console is text-only serial (a PL011 UART), and there is no GPU, framebuffer or desktop. It is an authentic boot-Linux-to-a-shell ARM machine — a Pi-class ARM, not the exact Raspberry Pi silicon.
