A working model of the Antikythera Mechanism — the ancient Greek geared "computer" (c. 100 BCE). There is NO CPU and NO code: turning the CRANK spins a train of bronze gears whose real tooth counts drive every pointer. Turn the crank with your MOUSE WHEEL, by dragging the on-screen dial, or with the , and . keys (one turn = one lunar month); use the buttons to jog a day / month / year and to flip between the FRONT and BACK faces. The FRONT dial shows the mean Sun / date over the zodiac + Egyptian calendar rings, the Moon (with a half-black/half-white phase ball) and the five planets; the BACK shows the Metonic 19-year calendar spiral, the Saros eclipse spiral with solar/lunar glyphs, and the Callippic, Exeligmos and Games subsidiary dials. Open the debugger, or add ?debug, to single-STEP the mechanism one day at a time, read the live gear-train state, and list every gear with its tooth count and ratio.
