R3000A Boot Demo

demo Open · freely redistributable

A homebrew MIPS I program that animates an XOR colour field into the framebuffer, re-reading the host frame counter each pass. The default boot picture for the from-scratch R3000A interpreter — proves the CPU executes real MIPS (loads, stores, shifts, ALU, branches, jumps) and drives the screen.
