PCM Sound Demo (Audio Interface)

demo Open · freely redistributable

A bare-metal Nintendo 64 homebrew demo (krom / PeterLemon) that drives the N64 Audio Interface (AI) directly: it programs the AI DAC rate to 44100 Hz, points the AI DMA at a 16-bit signed big-endian stereo PCM sample in RDRAM, and loops it continuously through the AI hardware (no RSP microcode). Public domain (Unlicense). It plays audible looping sound the moment you press the Sound button, and is the reference target for the console audio path. The screen is the plain boot clear (this demo is about sound, not picture).
