The MicroPython ESP32_GENERIC_H2 firmware (v1.29.0, 2026-08-24), running unmodified. The from-scratch RV32IMAC core models the ESP32-H2 mask ROM and boots the real ESP-IDF + FreeRTOS: clock and PLL bring-up, the ROM flash and heap layers, the interrupt matrix and systimer, and the FreeRTOS scheduler, reaching an interactive Python REPL with a littlefs filesystem on the on-chip flash. Keystrokes go through the USB-Serial-JTAG console. neopixel drives the on-board GPIO8 RGB LED through the RMT transmitter. Bluetooth LE and 802.15.4 have no radio here. Real machine code on the real memory map, so it single-steps in the debugger.
