Colour Block (ColecoVision demo)

A tiny hand-written Z80 program for the ColecoVision, authored for emulators.org and released into the public domain. It carries a valid ColecoVision cartridge header (the 0x55,0xAA magic plus a cold-start vector), programs the TMS9918A into Graphics II, draws a solid white block, then loops reading controller port 0xFC and rewrites VDP register 7 (the backdrop colour) from the joystick: Up paints the background red, Down green, Left light blue, Right yellow and a fire button grey. The block stays put while the backdrop changes, so every press is visible — an ideal debugger target that also demonstrates live input injection. It is launched by an original open mini boot-ROM, so no copyrighted Coleco system ROM is used.
