Star Wars (Atari, 1983) is the landmark colour-vector arcade cockpit game: a first-person X-Wing run on the Death Star drawn as glowing coloured wireframe. The cabinet is a Motorola 6809 board driving the Atari colour Analog Vector Generator, with a bit-slice hardware math box that does the 3-D rotate-and-project arithmetic, flown through a two-handed yoke.

Controls
The real Atari Star Wars board: a Motorola 6809 running the original 1983 ROMs, with a faithful colour AVG, math box AND the real sound board (a second 6809 + MOS6532 RIOT + four POKEYs + a TMS5220 speech synth). It boots to a cycling attract mode. It is a flight yoke: Arrow keys aim the X/Y crosshair, Z fires the left cannon and X the right; press Start = 1 (free play, so just fire to begin). Click the screen first so it captures the keyboard. Sound is fully supported during play: it starts muted, so click the Sound button to enable audio. Open the debugger to single-step the 6809, read and write the A/B/X/Y/U/S/PC/DP/CC registers and memory, watch the AVG vector RAM display list, and set breakpoints and write watchpoints.
