Executor, developed by ARDI (Abacus Research and Development), runs classic 68k Macintosh applications by reimplementing the Mac ROM and Toolbox from the Inside Macintosh documentation rather than using Apple code. Its ROMlib environment supported many System 6 and early System 7 programs on DOS, Windows and Unix, and the source was later released under the GPL.
