Microchip SAMD21

The SAMD21 is a Microchip (originally Atmel) system-on-chip built around a 48MHz 32-bit ARM Cortex-M0+ (ARMv6-M, Thumb) with up to 256KB of flash and 32KB of RAM. It carries flexible SERCOM serial peripherals that can be configured as I2C, SPI or UART, a set of timers, a DAC, and a USB controller. It is the microcontroller at the heart of the Adafruit Circuit Playground Express, where it bit-bangs the on-board NeoPixels and drives the speaker through its DAC.
