The nRF51822 is a Nordic Semiconductor system-on-chip built around a 16MHz 32-bit ARM Cortex-M0 (ARMv6-M, Thumb) with 256KB of flash and 16KB of RAM. It integrates a 2.4GHz radio for Bluetooth Low Energy and a set of on-chip peripherals — GPIO, timers, a hardware random number generator, and a TWI (I2C) bus. It is the microcontroller at the heart of the BBC micro:bit v1.
