Espressif ESP32-H2
2023
The ESP32-H2 is an Espressif system-on-chip built around a single 96MHz 32-bit RISC-V core (RV32IMAC: the integer base plus the multiply, atomic and compressed extensions, with machine-mode CSRs and traps). It integrates Bluetooth LE 5 and an 802.15.4 radio for Thread and Zigbee, but, unlike its ESP32-C6 sibling, no WiFi, alongside SRAM, external flash over a cache, GPIO, a UART, timers and an interrupt matrix. Here it runs real bare-metal firmware on a from-scratch RISC-V interpreter.
